Willie Mae (Owens) Moore

Willie Mae Owens Moore, age 88, of Chadbourn, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, in the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC. 

Willie Mae was born on January 21, 1935, in Hemmingway, SC, to the late Mitchell Owens and Mae Iola Tanner Owens. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Legrand Moore, and brothers Waylon Owens, Basil Owens, and Rodney Owens.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Tex Floyd officiating.

Survivors include siblings, Donald Owens (Diana) of Hemmingway, SC, Tommy Owens (Connie) of Hemmingway, SC, Michael Owens of Georgetown, SC; sister-in-law, Greta Owens of Hemmingway, SC; special friend James C. Floyd “Pete” of Evergreen; and many nieces and nephews.
