Whiteville:
William “Billy” Henry Pike, Jr. age 75 of Whiteville went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his residence.
“Billy” was a native of Corinth, New York, born to the late Williams Henry Pike, Sr. and Isabelle Ida Gage Pike. He was also preceded in death by two siblings, David Pike and Rosa Lee Pike.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. In 1974 he and his family moved to Whiteville, for the next 40 years he was employed by the Whiteville Public Works Department. Billy was a Ministerial Volunteer at the Columbus County Detention Center.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend William Schalk officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Surviving include his wife, Sheila Lee Denno Pike of the home; children, Darby Pike (Staci) of Fair Bluff, Krishna Pike of Whiteville, Eric Pike of Lumberton, Lisa P. Johnson of Bladenboro, Gerald Pike (Natosha) of Whiteville and Adam Pike of Whiteville; seven siblings, Shirley Weatherwax of Corinth, New York, Helen Montney (Wendell) of Michigan, Janet Boars of New York, Susan Danise of Virginia, Jane Pike of New York, Kenneth Pike of New York and Phillip Pike of New York; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
