Thelma Lee (Hardee) Edge

Thelma Lee Hardee Edge, 85, of the Mount Calvary Community in Clarkton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at her sister’s residence, surrounded by her family.

Thelma was born on July 28, 1938, daughter of the late Luther King Hardee and Bertha Lee Wiggins Hardee. In addition to her parents, Thelma was also preceded in death by her siblings: Freddy Hardee, Luther Carey Hardee, and Carolyn Hardee, and Leamon Hardee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Worthington Funeral Home, with Rev. Lamont Hemminger officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will speak to friends from 2:00-2:45, prior to the service on Sunday.

Thelma leaves behind her sister, Kathleen Hardee Clabaugh of Clarkton; her brother, Alexander Hardee of Maryland; two “adopted” daughters, Katie Miller and Linda Dew. Thelma also leaves behind a host of loving nieces and nephews.
