Teresa Jane (Mitchell) Huggins

Teresa Jane Mitchell Huggins, age 61 of Hallsboro, died on Friday morning, May 21, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.

Teresa was born on May 10, 1960, in Bladen County, to the late George Alton and Stella Marie Jacobs Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Vera Redwine, Geraldine Goodman, and Mike Mitchell.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church in Buckhead with Reverend Don Carter officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home. 

Survivors include her husband, James Daniel Huggins of the home; children, Alisa Marie Mitchell of the home, Preston Mitchell (Faye) of Whiteville; siblings, Clarence Mitchell (Tonda) of Bolton, George Mitchell (Allison) of Clinton, Wilma Coleman of Lake Waccamaw, Donnie Mitchell (Jackie) of Bolton, and Shirley Freeman of Bolton; grandchildren, Keiley Mitchell, Kaylee Mitchell, Treston Mitchell, Johnathan Huggins.
