Susan (Miller) Nance

Susan Miller Nance, 75, of Chadbourn went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.
  
Susan was born on January 22, 1948, in Mullins, South Carolina, daughter of the late Sherwood Miller and Lucille Hill Miller. In addition to her parents, Susan is also preceded in death by her three siblings, Richard Miller, Betty M. Tedder and Sally M. Powers. 

Susan was employed at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton for 33 years and later at the Columbus County Jail, serving as the nurse for seven years. She ended her working career with 40 years in the nursing profession.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Worthington Funeral Home.

A private graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Meares Cemetery in Fair Bluff, with Rev. David Crumpler officiating. 

Susan leaves behind her children; Sheila Nance Smith (Ritchie) of Lumberton and Curtis Shane Nance (Linda) of Evergreen; her sister, Nancy M. Weatherford (Paul) of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Caitlin Brown (Cail), Erin Smith and Shana Nance and a great-granddaughter, Caroline Brown.
