Steve Morris Ransom, 74, of  Mt. Calvary community of Clarkton, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Shoreland Health Care & Retirement Center

Steve was born on December 19, 1950, son of the late Callie Elizabeth Thompson and John George Ransom, Sr.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Jean Holt Ransom; siblings, Billy R. Ransom, Edward Allen Ransom, Junior Ransom, Donald D. Ransom.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service Friday.

The surviving family includes his children, Duran Ransom (Rachel), Farrah Ransom (John Carter); granddaughter, Amber Ransom Leonard (Austin); step-grandchildren, Brooke Norris, Sarah parker (Trey), Jamie Lynn Godwin; great-grandchild, Preston Norris; siblings, Linda Ransom, Cathy R. Ivey, and Lloyd Ransom (Debbie).
