Steve Edwards Obituary

Steve Elgin Edwards age 67, of Chadbourn passed, on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.

Final rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Worthington Funeral Home with Dr. Darrin Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Williamsons Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Worthington Funeral Home.

He was employed by Atlantic Packaging in Tabor City for over 15 years retiring in 2016 due to declining health.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Elgie Edwards.

Steve is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Jean Regan Edwards of the home; a son Matthew “Matt” R. Edwards of Chadbourn; and his mother, Carro Donsal Batton Edwards of Chadbourn; and several cousins.
