Mrs. Shirley Kay Ward Brown, age 63 of the Mt. Olive Community of Clarkton died at her residence Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Final rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at Mt. Calvary Original Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Bryan and Reverend David Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery She was the daughter of the late Dewey C. and Bertha Nunnery Ward. She is survived by her husband, Irvin Willard Brown of the home; daughters, Amy Brown Odom of Whiteville and Greta Brown Sellers of Bladenboro; sisters, Mildred W. Efird of Clarkton, Faye W. Bullock of Chadbourn, and Gracie Miller of Whiteville; brothers, David Ward of Concord, Robert Ward and Dewey C. Ward both of Clarkton; 4 grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
