Sherry Renee (Stevens) Penny

Sherry Renee Stevens Penny, age 53 of Chadbourn, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, March 26, 2022, at home, with family by her side.

Renee was born on October 1, 1968. She was preceded in death by her father, Ruther Stevens, Jr; sister, Cathy Ann Stevens, and a half-sister, Rebecca Cantor.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Worthington Funeral Home; Rev. Charles Dudley, of Fair Bluff Church of God, will officiate 

Renee leaves behind her mother, Fannie Mae Marlowe Sanders of Chadbourn; daughter, Crystal Haire Rogers (Tommy) of Burnsville, NC; siblings, Linda Sanders (James) of Chadbourn, Jeffery Stevens of Cerro Gordo; half-siblings, Lou Anne Blackbourn of Fayetteville, Bobby Stevens (Tomica) of Tabor City, John Henry Stevens (Cordelius) of Tabor City, Ruther Stevens, III (Charity) of Tabor City, Matthew Stevens (Tammy) of Tabor City, Sue Ellen Stevens of Rockingham; grandchildren, Haley Whitley, Joe Whitley, Mary Whitley, and Miranda Whitley.
