Shandel Allen McPherson

Shandel Allen McPherson, 50, of Whiteville, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 18th, 2023. 

A native of the Beaverdam community, Shandel was born on March 21st, 1973. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Calvin McPherson, and his mother-in-law, Alice Wallace Boswell. 

Shandel loved the outdoors. He was a hard worker and a friend to many.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21st, at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Buddy Seay and Pastor Joey Brown officiating. 

Shandel leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Clarissa “JoJo” Boswell McPherson; two beloved daughters, Kaitlin McPherson and Kenley Grace McPherson; his mother, Betty Lou Cribb McPherson; siblings, Roxanne McPherson Duncan, Tammy McPherson Coleman, Amanda McPherson, Glenn McPherson, and Rocky McPherson; his father-in-law, Thomas Boswell.
