Sarah Vann Carter Nobles, 77, of Evergreen, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Shoreland Nursing & Rehab Center.

Sarah was born on December 30, 1947, daughter of the late London Cass Carter, Sr. and Edna Juanita Thompson Carter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Joe Nobles; siblings, Shelby Hodge, L.C. Carter, Spurgle Carter, and Simmie Faye Mills.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home. A private burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service on Monday.

The surviving family includes her son, Kent Fowler and wife, Christa, of Chadbourn; step-son, Harold Wayne Nobles, Sr. and wife, Wanda, of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Logan Fowler (Brittany), Austin Fowler (Leslie), Harold W. Nobles, Jr. (Brenda); great-grandchildren, Lucas, Lawson, Carter, Landon, Paisley; sister, Shirley Carter; brother-in-law, Tommy Hodge.
