Ruth Magaline (Blackman) Biddle

Ruth Magaline Blackman Biddle, age 89 of Whiteville, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at her son’s home.

Ruth was born on January 21, 1933, in Columbus County, to the late Obediah Blackman and Lula Mae Suggs Blackman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Merle Biddle, her son, Theodore W. Biddle and her siblings, Melton Blackman, Cleveland Blackman, Willis "Bill" Blackman, and Mackie Blackman.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Old Dock United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ken Sides officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45, prior to the service on Tuesday, at the church. 

Survivors include her son, Glenn Jay Biddle (Zelma) of Whiteville; grandchildren, Tina Hamilton, Casey William Biddle (Laurin), Keaton Biddle, Cheyanna Nicole Biddle, and five great-grandchildren: Charlie William Biddle, Hunter A. Biddle, Fallon N. Biddle, Sandy Marie "Taddy" Wright, Grayson William Wright.
