Ruby Mae Worley Griffin, age 65 of Cerro Gordo died Tuesday at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Final rites will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Fairfax officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Edmond Pete Worley and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela K. Griffin. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Griffin of the home; a daughter, Deborah G. McKeithan of Cerro Gordo; her mother, Mary J. Norris Worley of Tabor City; sisters, Hilda W. Causey of Loris, SC, Frances W. Bullock of Tabor City, and Marvelene W. Hammond of Loris, SC; a brother, Edmond P. Worley, Jr. of Tabor City; four grandchildren, Kim Butler, Jennifer McKeithan, Amy McKeithan and Jonathan McKeithan. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
