Roy Ward, 66, of Tabor City, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Lower Cape Fear Angel House.

Roy was born on October 14, 1959, son of the late Lloyd Ward and Lila Pearl Gore Ward. He was preceded in death  by his son, Jonathan Ward and his siblings, Betty Carter and Jerry Ward.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Worthington Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Bethel/Ward Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home. 

He is survived by his wife, Debra Ward; children, Kenneth Dale Ward, Samantha Norris Richardson (Junior); nine grandchildren, Austin Richardson (Hailey), Amber Richardson, Blake Ward, Logan Ward, Kameron Ward, Regan Ward, Bryson Clark, Annaleigh Clark, Katlyn Ward; a great-grandchild, Colton Richardson; siblings, Brenda Lawson, Jeanette Daniels, Robert Ward (Teresa), Tammy Ward, Lloyd Ward.
