Robert "Shorty" Stephens, II Obituary
Sandy Ridge - Robert “Shorty” Belton Stephens II, 52, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery, Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
Born in Columbus County on September 26, 1968, Shorty was a graduate of Hallsboro High School and employed with CenturyLink where he was a dedicated and hard worker with 28 years of service. He was a friend to many, lending a hand to those with a need, and will be remembered for often saying “I want to make everyone happy”. Shorty was also an avid hunter of deer, bear, wild boar, and turkeys.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Robert (Camellia) Stephens; mother, Betsy Stephens; sisters, Traci Blythe and Angela Smith; daughter, Amber Stephens; like-a-son, Cody Willard (Brooke) and their children, Brody and Cannon Willard; and special friend, Denise Stephens.
Memorials may be made to Operation Christmas Child.
