Robert Earl Floyd

Robert Earl Floyd, age 55 of Evergreen, heard the call from Heaven’s portals on Sunday afternoon, January 23, 2022, while in the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC.

Robert was born on September 18, 1966, in Columbus County, to the late Albert Floyd and Margaret Graham Floyd.  He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Mae Floyd and Helen Ann Smith.

Funeral services with honors will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel in Chadbourn. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Community Cemetery.

A viewing will be take place from 1:00-1:45, prior to the service, at the funeral home. 

Robert was a dedicated and noble member of Cerro Gordo Fire and Rescue and Evergreen Fire Department; helping and serving others was Robert’s passion. He was also employed for many years with Barnhill Paving Company.

Mr. Floyd is survived by his siblings: Jackie Floyd Samuel of the home, Betty Simmons of Chadbourn, Coleman Graham of Evergreen, Debra Floyd (Felton) of Marion, SC, and Howard Lee Floyd of Winston Salem.
