Retha Cribb McPherson

Retha Cribb McPherson age 80 of the Beaverdam community of Chadbourn went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 07, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. Final rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Buddy Seay and Reverend Buster Benton officiating. Interment will follow in the McPherson Cemetery. The time of visitation will be 12:30 pm 2:00 pm Saturday prior to the service at Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Rosa Cribb McPherson and Dewey Cribb. To cherish her memory she leaves her husband of 61 years, Marvin McPherson of the home; two daughters, Diana M. McKeithan and her husband Rory of Fairmont and Ginger M. Ward and her husband, E.W. of Whiteville; three siblings, Fleetie Kinlaw of Whiteville, Odis Cribb and his wife, Jeanette of Whiteville and her twin sister, Reba Kendrick and her husband, Jim of High Point; her sister-in-law, Shirley Hilburn and her husband, Cofield of Monroe; her brother-in-law, Ervin McPherson and his wife, Juanita of Whiteville; grandchildren, Jason Mishoe, Christopher Canady and wife, Jennifer, Justin Canady, Jonathan Juhl, Grace Juhl; great-grandchildren, Ana, Alaina, and Jacie. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church, 2665 Beaverdam Road, Chadbourn, NC 28431 or to Liberty Hospice, 46 McNeill Plaza, Whiteville, NC 28472.
