Rebecca Lynn Norris

Rebecca “Beck” Lynn Norris, age 42, of Whiteville, died on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.

Beck was born on December 18, 1978, to the late Perry Lynn Norris. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Carl McPherson; her paternal grandfather, Buster Norris and her maternal grandparents, Grace Mae Ward and Bobby Gene Ward.

She is survived by a daughter, Makayla S. Norris of Whiteville; two sons, Nydir D. Carr (Alexus Clark) and Eric K. Carr, and their father, Eric B. Carr, all of Whiteville; mother and step-father, Cynthia Brown Norris McPherson and Jeffery Dean McPherson of Chadbourn; two sisters, April Hunter (Chad) of Conway, SC and Audrea Bailey (Brad) of Chadbourn; aunt and uncle, Dorinda Norris Cribb and Royal Dale Cribb of Chadbourn; grandmother, Betty Jo Norris of Chadbourn. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn, with Rev. Brad Hardwick officiating. Interment will follow in the Cribb Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45, prior to the service.
