Paula Gay (Simmons) Gordon

Paula Gay Simmons Gordon, 65, of Chadbourn, died suddenly on Thursday, August 3, 2023, while in the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC. 

Paula was born on September 3, 1957, daughter of the late Lindsey Simmons and Joyce Gallaway Simmons. In addition to her parents, Paula is also preceded in death by her daughter, Jamey Gordon Fisher.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Worthington Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial cemetery.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, in the Worthington Funeral Home chapel.

Paula leaves behind her loving husband, Thomas “Tommy” Keith Gordon; children, Patricia (Vernon) McKeithan of Nakina, Brandon Kieth Gordon of Boston, Michael Gordon of the home; grandchildren, T.J. McKeithan, Justin McKeithan, Emily Moire' Jennings, Ray Summey Fisher, IV, Seth Aiden Fisher, Isabella Nadra Fisher, and Noah Rylan Fisher; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Robert Lee Simmons, and L.J. Simmons, both of Ash.
