Mrs. Ora Lee Hughes Fitz, age 91 a longtime member of Chadbourn and lately of Smithfield Manor of Smithfield passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Clement W. and Bertha Edmund Hughes, Sr. and widow of Cecil H. Fitz. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sarah H. Heye. Interment will be in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with a life celebration at a later time. She is survived by a daughter, Gayle F. Mast and husband, George of Clayton; a son, Michael Fitz and wife, Pat of Naples, FL; brother, C.W. Hughes, Jr. of Shallotte Point; grandchildren, Christa Hardie, Leah Kauppi and husband, Rami, Charles Mast and wife, Kathy, Rebecca Riley, Anna Booth and husband, David. Great-grandchildren, Brayden Kauppi, Grayson Kauppi, Taylor Mast, Cameron Mast, Maggie Riley, Anne Finley Riley, George Booth and Sam Booth.
