Monnie Mae Cribb Turbeville, 91, of the Sidney Community in Whiteville, passed away at her home on Saturday evening, April 25, 2026, with family at her bedside.
Monnie was born on December 4, 1934, daughter of the late Dow W. Cribb and Vernie Duncan Cribb She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Turbeville; son, Donald Laverne Turbeville; siblings, Oliver Martin Cribb, J.T. Cribb, Verbee Cribb Cartrette, Sammie Mitchell Cribb, and Rev. Pete Cribb.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in the Gapway Cemetery, Tabor City.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Worthington Funeral Home.
Survivors include her son, Sammie Wayne Turbeville (Janet Sue); three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; siblings, Rosie Lee Walton, Billy J. Cribb (Rachel), Bobby K. Cribb (Betty), Geneva Cribb Ward, William Elgin Cribb (Brenda), Benjamin Perry Cribb (Jewell), and Jerry Cribb (Shirley).
