Monia Faye (Blackmon) Butler

Monia Faye Blackmon Butler, age 75 of Whiteville, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, March 27, 2022, at the Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Angel House in Whiteville, with family by her side. 

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Barry Helms officiating.

Monia was born on September 24, 1946, to the late Jessie G. Blackmon and Mae Hughes Blackmon.  She was the widow of Erwin Butler who preceded her in 2014. She was also preceded in death by six siblings, Joe Blackmon, Wayne Blackmon, David Blackmon, Grady Blackmon, Lousie B. Harris, and Pearl B. Worley.  

She leaves behind two sons, Robin L. Butler (Maria) of Clarkton and Eddie S. Butler (Deborkah) of Chadbourn; eight grandchildren, Lindsey B. Strickland (Quentin), Logan T. Butler, Eddie Shane Butler, Jr., Alyssa B. Butler, Alyson G. Butler, Ashley L. Butler Trenten P. Butler, and Briley A. Butler; two great-grandchildren, Colton R. Phillips, and Corbin B. Collins.

Memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare "Angel House", 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
