Mitchell Valerie Nealy Obituary

Mitchell Valerie Nealy, age 57 of the Mollie Community in Clarendon, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, while in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Mitchell was born on October 25, 1965, son of Vernon Leo Nealey and Larrine Durden Nealey of Chadbourn. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Yvonne Nealey Cain and his brother-in-law, Rev. Larry Cain.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor John McPherson and Pastor Mack Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00  Saturday evening, at the funeral home.

In addition to his parents, Mitchell is survived by his wife, Joyce Bell Nealy of the home; children, Eddi Muncy of Clarendon, Donna "DJ" Coleman (Jason) of Shallotte; grandchildren, Kailey Coleman, Whitney Coleman, Isabella Coleman, and Courtney Brianne Muncy; great-grandchild, Aubree Coleman; siblings, Ann Smith (Brady) of Chadbourn, Vernon Nealy (Joy) of Loris, SC; brother and sister-in-law, Deb Criswell of Centre, AL, and Johnny Holland (Marlene) of Statesville.
