Mitchell Kenneth Duncan, 79, of Ocean Isle Beach and formerly of the Beaverdam community in Chadbourn, passed away on Friday evening, June 26, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family.

Mitchell was born on October 1, 1946, son of the late Charlie Howard Duncan and Martha Hinson Duncan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Palmerico. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the McPherson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service on Tuesday.

The surviving family includes his children, Kenneth Duncan (Jennifer), Kimberly Dawn Duncan; siblings, McArthur Duncan, and Rachel Garrell; grandchildren, Austin Duncan, Tylor Duncan, Chandler Duncan, Makenzie Duncan, Maycee Tickle; and 3 great-grandchildren.
