Michael Wade Sellers

Michael Wade Sellers, age 56 of Chadbourn and formally of Florence, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, October 23, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. 

Mike, as he was lovingly known, was born on August 29, 1965. He was the son of Wade Sellers of Lakeland, FL  who preceded him in 2020 and survived by his mother, Peggy Mercer Sellers of Chadbourn.  

He was employed by CSX Railroad for over 18 years where he served as Superintendent for the Northeast Region, retiring due to declining health.  Mike was also a member of the Chadbourn Masonic Lodge #190.
          
Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Willard McPherson and Reverend Harvey Franklin officiating.  Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Masonic Rites. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Worthington Funeral Home.

In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by his loving companion, Deborah Kay Horne McKeithan of Chadbourn; sisters, Jeanine S. Nance of Chadbourn and Charlene S. Ward of Chadbourn; two nephews, Brady Ward of Chadbourn and Alexander Ward of Manning, SC; and a great-nephew; Axel Brooks Ward of Manning, SC.
