Michael Ray Pewee Tyler, age 43 of Whiteville died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his residence. He was the son of the late Jasper Leroy Tyler and employed by Sumter Builders for the past 22 years. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Whiteville Church of God with Reverend Robbie Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in the Thompson Cemetery, Whiteville. He is survived by two daughters, Lauren Rae Tyler and Lindsey Reed Tyler both of Whiteville; mother and step-father, Lora Faye Tyler and Jerry Dove of Whiteville; sisters, Wanda T. Harris of Lumber Bridge, Brenda T. Hyatt of Whiteville, Donna T. Hinson of Chadbourn, Sandra T. Ward of Nakina, and Teresa T. Hissong of Raleigh; brother, Mitchell Wayne Tyler of Fair Bluff; step-brothers, Jerry Junior Wayne Dove, Jr. of Raleigh; Jonathan Wayne Dove of Whiteville; step-sister, Jessica Marie Dove of Ft. Hood, TX. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
