Mrs. Mercia Evans Rabon, age 91 of Chadbourn died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Linkhaw Place, Lumberton, Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Corinth Baptist Church, Chadbourn with Reverend Bryan Blackwell and Reverend Mark Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. She was the widow of Emory Monroe Rabon and the daughter of the late Cary Archie and Rachel Lennon Evans. She was also preceded in death by three step-children; Geraldine Rabon, Emory Thomas Rabon and Elsworth Lamotte Rabon. She is survived by a son, Grayson M. Rabon of Lumberton; a daughter, Patsy R. Willetts of Winnabow; a sister, Lizzie Mae Evans of Bladenboro; a brother, William Evans of Bladenboro; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
