Whiteville - Melissa Rene Sikes Pierce, age 34 of Whiteville died Thursday August 27, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Brenda Vernia Stone. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, John Hampton Pierce of the home; a daughter, Hayden B. Moody of Whiteville; a step-son, Jonathan H. Pierce of Evergreen; father, Jimmy Jones of Whiteville; a brother, Danny Ray Stone of Whiteville. The family will receive friends one hour (2-3 p.m.) prior to the service at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
