Melba Dove Obituary

Mrs. Melba Louise Britt Dove, age 89 of Bladenboro, received her eternal healing on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at her residence. Melba was born on May 17, 1930 to the late Roscoe Britt and Verna Virginia Kissam Britt and was the widow of Talmadge Lee Dove who preceded her in 1995. She was also preceded in death by two siblings, Eldree Davis and Wayne Britt. A funeral service commemorating Mrs. Doves life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Lee Dove officiating. Interment will follow in the Singletary Cemetery, Bladenboro. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00, Monday evening at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Survivors include six children, Linda Ann Dove Walters (Oakie) of Bladenboro, Gayle Dove Correa of Bladenboro, Talmadge Glenn Dove (Nora Jean) of Bladenboro, Jerry Wayne Dove (Connie) of Elizabethtown, Darlene Dove Gause (Mitchell preceded), Terry Lee Dove (Cindy) of Bladenboro; siblings, Annette B. Jackson of Bladenboro, Freddie Britt (Faye) of Fayetteville, Joyce B. Neal (Dale) of Hope Mills, Morris Britt (Linda) of Clarkton, Betty Jo Britt (Merdick) of Bladenboro and Annis B. Hester (Harold) of Bladenboro; Grandchildren, Eddie Rouse (Marsha), Kevin Lee Rouse, Chris Dove, Cynthia Kennedy (David), Angie Dowless (Keith), Amanda Lewis (Jason), Nate Gause, Stephen Dove (Amanda), Jonathan Dove, Jerry Dove Jr. Jessica Dove, Jemarilys, Joshua and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Kristen, Dawson, Kayla, Chloe, Braxton, Madilyn, Izzie, Peyton and Kelsie; and one great-great-grandchild, Addison. A special thanks to Tabatha Chavis and Community Hospice for the love shown to our Mother during her illness. Interment following funeral service: Tuesday September 17, 2019 Singletary Cemetery, Bladenboro
