Mrs. Mavis Lee Clewis Smith, age 58 of Whiteville died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. Visitation services will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. She was the daughter of the late John Delbert and Susie Mae Brock Clewis. She is survived by her husband, William Marshall Smith of the home; daughter, Serena Lynn Benton Sellers of Whiteville; step-son, Marshall Glenn Smith of Whiteville; brothers, Billy Graham Clewis , Johnson Clewis, and Levi Sambo Clewis all of Whiteville; sisters, Teresa Gail Clewis Taylor of Whiteville and Martha Clewis Williamson of Chadbourn; and one grandson. No service information has been added.
