Mary Uldene (Williamson) Green

"Ms. Blue"

Mary Uldene Williamson Green, 93, of Cerro Gordo, went home to be with her Lord on October 9, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Uldene was born on July 28, 1930, in Columbus County, daughter of the late Zebulon Vance Wiliamson and Mary Susan Nance Williamson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clempson Green; her siblings, Dr. Ray Williamson, Elbert Eugene Williamson, Alfred V. Williamson, Z.V. "Jeke" Williamson, Jr., Ben F. Williamson, Margaret W. Bartrop, and Hybert L. Williamson

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor Neill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 prior to the service on Thursday. 

Uldene was a faithful member of Cerro Gordo New Life Methodist Church, where she served in various roles over the years; she was also the eldest member of the church. 

Survivors include two sons, Jamie Green and wife, Cathy of Cerro Gordo, Josh Chenier and wife, Jessy of Whiteville; four daughters, Donnice G. Long and husband, Elvin of Cerro Gordo, Vickie G. Williamson and her late husband, Rickey H. of Ocean Isle Beach, Janet G. McCall of Cerro Gordo, and Regina G. Lyles and husband, Ray of Shallotte; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; sisters, Edith W. Strickland of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Frances W. Williamson of Cerro Gordo.
