Obituary

Mary Ann Gore Blackmon, 82, of Whiteville, died on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at her home.

Mary Ann was born on October 19, 1940, daughter of the late Joe Gore and Estell Soles Gore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Joel Blackmon and her brother, Bobby Gore.

A private graveside service will be conducted on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Surviving family includes her two sons: Patrick Joel Blackmon (Patricia) of the home, Timothy Mark Blackmon (Amy) of Whiteville; grandchildren: Kyle Evan Blackmon, Patrick Jarrett Blackmon, Shelby Dawn Fowler, Deanna Ruth Malott; great-grandchildren: Rhett Lane, Stormy Grace, Elora Rain, and Mary Claire; brother, Donald Gore of Lake Waccamaw.
