Mrs. Mary Maxine Nobles Brown, age 66 of Evergreen died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Duke Medical Center, Durham She was the daughter of the late Warren Dixon and Mary Vance Nobles and was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Jean Grainger and a grandson, Matthew Dane Bowen. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Evergreen with Reverend Vernon Williamson officiating. She is survived by her husband, Howard Dulan Brown of the home; daughter, Sharon Brown Bowen and husband, Jeff of Evergreen; son, Mark Brown and wife, Faith of Evergreen; sister, Rosa Watkins of Chadbourn; two grandchildren, Megan Bowen and Travis Brown; and a step-grandson, Jonathan Pierce. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
