Mary Luberta Jones White Obituary
Mrs. Mary Luberta Jones White, age 98 of Evergreen died Sunday at Linkhaw Place Nursing in Lumberton. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Barnum and Dora Mae Britt Jones and the widow of Thurman Burris White. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ted White and five siblings, Lawrence Jones, Barnum Jones, C.L. Jones, Mollie Kelly and Leona Kirby. Final rites will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Fields officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Gerald White of Wade and Burris White of Evergreen; two sisters, Genevieve J. Britt of Raleigh and Effie J. Storms of Garland; a brother, James Levoy Jones of Evergreen; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2-3 p.m.) at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.fv No service information has been added.
