Mrs. Mary Bea Russ Greene, age 71 of Cerro Gordo died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the J.E. Greene Family Cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Gurthia Coleman Russ and was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Tysinger. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah G. Batten of Chadbourn; sons, Eddie Dean Greene of Clarendon, Jeffery Greene of Cerro Gordo, Anthony James Green of Cerro Gordo, and Michael W. Greene of Cerro Gordo; sisters, Kathleen Greene, Josephine Strickland and Louise Green all of Cerro Gordo and Martha Lambeth of Trinity; brothers, McNeil Russ of Tabor City and Thomas Leary of North Myrtle Beach, SC; 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
