Ret. SFC Marvin C. Bray, 93 of Chadbourn and formerly of Fayetteville died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville with full military honors. He was the son of the late Cephas and Martha Tyree Bray and served in the US Army for 29 years until his retirement in 1966. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Hoover Bray of the home; step-daughter, Carol Stevens of Wilson; step-son, Gregg Hoover of Chadbourn; 5 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7 - 9 p.m. Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
