Martha Jean (Herring) Nance

Martha Jean Nance, 88 of Whiteville, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Shoreland Health Care & Retirement Center. 

Martha was born on May 2, 1935 in Robeson County, to the late Alvie Herring and Lucille Sealey Herring. 

She is survived by her son, Alvie Gene Nance and wife Sandra of Evergreen; and several grandchildren. 

A celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home, with Reverend Jim Lamb officiating.  The family will receive friend from 6:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at Worthington Funeral Home on Thursday.
