Marilyn Diane Lewis Pankey, 78, of  Tabor City, passed away on Friday evening, August 22, 2025 at her home. 

Marilyn was born on August 29, 1946, daughter of the late James William Lewis and Essie Stroud Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Pankey; children, Harold Stroud, Buster Pankey, Tammy Pankey; brother, James “Doug” William Lewis.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery (1234 Sandy Ridge Church Road- Rockingham, NC) with Pastor Bobby Cartrette officiating. 

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her sister, Pansy Kay Lawson (Mickey) of Tabor City; grandchildren, Maliyah Cox (Aaron), Jacob Russ, Brantley Stack, Makayla Young; great-grandchildren, Jacoby Cox- on the way.
