Malcolm "Mackie" Stanley Bullock Obituary
Malcolm "Mackie" Stanley Bullock, 73, of Chadbourn, entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at his residence. Mackie was born on December 3, 1952, son of the late Malcolm Van Bullock and Loraine Stanley Bullock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sharon Bullock.
A life-long farmer, Mackie took great pride in being a good steward of the land that he farmed. He, along with his wife and son, operated Bullock Pumpkins for over 30 years. This became a celebrated family and community tradition that earned him the title of "The Pumpkin Man." He was a devoted husband, father, "Pa", son, and brother. He was a great friend to all who knew him.
Mackie was an avid gardener who enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor. He also enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Marilyn; his daughter, Amanda Bullock Leggett (Craig); his son, James Malcolm Bullock (Julie); his grandchildren, Byron Leggett (Summer), Bradley Leggett, Abigail Bullock, and Mattie Grace Bullock; his great-grandson, Eli Leggett; his brothers Darryl Bullock (Valerie) and Rossie Bullock (Karen). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
