Luther Nelson Lanning

Luther Nelson Lanning age 76, passed away on October 30, 2025 at home surrounded by family. 

Luther was born on July 26, 1949 to the late Ralph Emerson Lanning and Margaret Covington Lanning. 

Luther served his country in the United States Navy. 

Memorial service will be held on November 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Porter Swamp Baptist Church. 

Luther is survived by his wife Connie Lanning of the home; children, Brian Lanning (Mindy), Kiley Lanning (Tracy Snow); step-children, Renay Robertson, Rhonda Williamson (Terry), Jennifer Schmid (Michael), Eddie Zimmer (Kelly); grandchildren, Zach Lanning (Keleigh), Addie Lanning (Niko), Carrington Lanning, Charlie Lanning, Noah Snow, Haley Snow, Justin Dawkins, Shelby Robertson, Madison Pigott, Janna Pigott, Noah Pigott, Dillan Schmid, Jason Schmid, Emily Zimmer; great-grandchildren, Lila Kay, Callan Luke, Liam, Layla, Atlas, Elizah.
