Lois Ann Blackman Suggs

Lois Ann Blackman Suggs, age 71 of Whiteville, entered into rest on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her residence. A native of Columbus County, Lois was born on December 26, 1947 to the late Cleveland Wilson Blackman and Myrtle Irene Simmons Blackman. Also, preceding Lois in death were three siblings, Gary Blackman and Mitchell Blackman and Judy B. Gore. Survivors include her husband, Earl Spurgeon Suggs of the home, a daughter, Loretta Ann Long and her husband, Timothy of Whiteville; a son, Joseph Earl Suggs of Whiteville; three siblings, Christine Palmatier, Michael Blackman and Susie Blackman Cribb all of Whiteville: four grandchildren, Amanda Leeann Suggs, Brittany Noel Suggs, Scott Long and Sarah Long; and a great-granddaughter, Ariana Camerino. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Suggs Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00, Tuesday Evening at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
