Linda Faye (Strickland) Collins

Linda Strickland Collins, age 80 of Chadbourn went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Linda was a registered nurse at Columbus Regional Healthcare System for 32 years retiring in 2009.

Final rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home.

She was the widow of Maurice R. Collins and the daughter of the late Connie Buffkin Strickland and Edgar Leamon Strickland. She was also preceded in death by five siblings, Gilbert Strickland, Jimmie Strickland, Ethelle Strickland, Gene E. Strickland and Clara Belle S. Ivey. 

To cherish her memory, she leaves three daughters, Norma C. Ward and her husband Ricky of Whiteville, Calista C. Shepherd and her husband, Jai of Chadbourn and Sharon C. Britt of Cerro Gordo; three siblings, Jerry Strickland and his wife, Linda of Whiteville, Joyce S. Trujillo and her husband, Ben of Colorado City, Co., and Debbie S. Greene of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Jesssica Collins, Heather Herring (Chad), Anthony Ward, Sheila Tysinger, Ethan Ward (Danielle), Marrissa Collins; seventeen great-grandchildren, Meredith, Brent, Benjamin, Aaron, Madisynn, Nicholas, Alexis, Bailey, Jaxton, Presleigh, Hudson, Audrey, Elizabeth, Hunter, Nathan, Katie, Lindsey; and many loving nieces and nephews.
