Lillie Mae (Ellis) Hinson

Lillie Mae Ellis Hinson, 90, of Chadbourn, entered into Heaven on Monday, September 11, 2023, while in the Angel Hospice House in Whiteville, NC. 

A native of Chadbourn, NC, Lillie Mae was born on September 25, 1932, daughter of the late John Dewey Ellis and Agnes Marie Britt Ellis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Hinson; a daughter, Pandora Hinson and her siblings, Gene Ellis, JD Ellis, Robert Ellis, Joseph Ellis, William “Bill” Ellis, Elouise Sellers, and Frances Butler.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., in the Williamson's Crossroads Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home. 

Lillie Mae was a faithful member of Williamson’s Crossroads Baptist Church, where she served in various roles over the years. She was a homemaker, always caring for her family and friends.

Lillie Mae leaves behind her children, Charles Edwin Hinson and wife, Amy, of Chadbourn, Carolyn Ann Powell and husband, Randy, of Chadbourn; five grandchildren: Pamela Miller, Bryan Powell (Amy), Andy Miller (Kelly), Jonathan Hinson (Fawn), and Tanner Hinson and five great-grandchildren: Logan Miller, Cane Powell, Lilly Anna Miller, Sadie Miller, and Nate Hinson; step-grandchildren, Austin Gerald and Emily Rawls. 

Contributions may be made in Lillie Mae's memory to Williamson's Crossroads Baptist Church.
