Mr. Lewis Howard Lee, age 87 of Chadbourn died at his residence Saturday, May 9, 2009. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Hubert Herring and Reverend Larry Cain officiating. He was the son of the late Ruther and Dora Grainger Lee Christmas Lee. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee. Mr. Lee was also preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters. Mr. Lee was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Mae White Lee of the home; daughters, Virginia L. Batten of Chadbourn and Bonnie Lee of Chadbourn; a brother, Jeap Christmas of Latta, SC; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Worthington Funeral Home handled the arrangements. No service information has been added.
