Leslie Renee (Stone) Turbeville

"Sheltered safe within the arms of God....."

Leslie Stone Turbeville, age 57 of Fair Bluff, finished her journey on earth and entered into the portals of Heaven on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville, with family by her side.

Leslie was born on October 6, 1963. She was preceded in death by her father, David Leslie Stone.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Fair Bluff Church of God, with Pastor Charles Dudley officiating. Interment will follow in the Powell Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00, Friday evening, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

Leslie was a faithful member of Fair Bluff Church of God, of which she served for many years as church pianist; she loved gospel music and spending time with her family. 

Leslie is survived by her husband and best friend of 34 years, Kevin Turbeville of the home; beloved daughter, Amanda Turbeville Moore and husband, Bud, of Fair Bluff; her mother, Brenda King Stone of Smithfield; sister, Dawn Stone Smith and husband, Bryan, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Drake Moore and Emilee Moore, both of Fair Bluff; mother-in-law, Katie Dudney Turbeville of Fair Bluff. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
