Leonard O’Neal “Tebo” Ward, age 76 of Whiteville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Tebo, as he was lovingly known, was born on July 20, 1945, to the late Van Dawson and Ressie Jacobs Ward. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Roscoe Jefferson Ward, David Ward, Louise Cox, Allen Ward, Kenny Ray Ward, Raymond Ward, Charles Ward, Clyde Jacobs, Leo Ward.

A private Graveside service will be held at the family cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Sue Milligan Ward of the home; children, Leonard Mitchell Ward (Toni) of Whiteville, Tina Louise Ward Hughes of Hallsboro, Shalico O’Neal Ward (Terri) of Kelly, Rhonda Faye Ward Meshaw of Whiteville; siblings, Barry Ward of Athens, GA, Robert Ward (Diane) of High Point; grandchildren, Jesse Smith, Nicole Bassett, Mitchell Ward, Jr., Amber McPherson Blackman, Bryanna Joyce Hughes, Ricky Mitchell Hughes, II, Andrea Ward, Trinidy Meshaw, Charlie Meshaw; great-grandchildren, Paisley Victoria Blackman , and Conner Smith.
