Lavon Nance, 64, of Cerro Gordo, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at her residence.

Lavon was born on March 29, 1961, daughter of the late William Thomas Nance and Betty Lou Duncan. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Soles and a brother, Ricky Nance.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Nance Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00-2:45 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday. 

The surviving family includes her children, Jesse Reaves, Fernando Nance, Vanessa Nealey (Timothy), Stephanie Young (Hikem), Casey Blackwell, all of Cerro Gordo; sister, Sonya Dale Anderson of Evergreen; brother, Shannon Nance of Chadbourn; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
