Landis Eugene Sellers, lovingly known as Diesel, finally beheld the beauties of Heaven on Sunday evening, February 9, 2025, while surrounded by his family; he was 78 years of age. 

Diesel was born on December 17, 1946, son of the late Crumwell “Crum” Sellers and Mary Edith Hewitt Sellers. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Terry Sellers Coleman,  Alton Sellers, Kaye Sellers, Sue Tyler, and Carol Kelly.

The surviving family includes his wife, Elizabeth Gail Sellers of the home; a daughter, Kayla Sellers Register and husband, Forrest; grandchildren, Jordan Register, Jaclyn Beck, Abigail Register, Kyndel Register; great-grandchildren, Londyn Register, Zoey Register, and Theo Benton; brothers Johnny Sellers (Pamela), and Jerry Sellers, all of Chadbourn.

Diesel was a faithful member of the Fair Bluff Church of God, where he served as church superintendent, was active in the men’s ministry and was a former choir member. He loved the Lord and served him faithfully; Heaven is sweeter today because of his arrival.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Dudley officiating. Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery. 

The visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
