Joshua Isaac McPherson

Joshua Isaac McPherson, lovingly known as Josh, slipped into eternity at the early age of 19, on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Josh was born on September 3, 2004, in Columbus County. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Hugh Thomas “Tommy” McPherson, Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Donald Conway and Pastor Anthony Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in the Western Prong Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45, prior to the service on Friday, at the church. 

Josh was currently attending the Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church (CPHC Ministries). He was a graduate of Whiteville High School, and was attending Southeastern Community College. 

Josh leaves behind his father, Hugh Thomas McPherson, II (Renee) of Whiteville; his mother, Tonia Deaver Strickland (Chris) of Tabor City; siblings, Hunter McPherson (Brianna), Hannah McPherson, Courtney Engle, Doug Engle, Gretta Strickland, Aubree Strickland; niece, Kennedy McPherson; Paternal Grandmother, Irma McPherson; maternal grandparents, Patricia and J.T. Deaver.
