Joseph Charles Cichero, 79, of Evergreen, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, surrounded by his family.

Joe, as he was lovingly known, was born on July 31, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. Cichero and Barbara Schweiger Cichero; step-brother, Bill Leyrer; father-in-law, Alfred Bowen; uncle and aunt, Mario Cichero and Elsie Cichero.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Lake Waccamaw.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday.

Joe is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dianne Bowen Cichero; children, Jean Elizabeth Cichero, Shelley B. Merritt (Jimmy), Tonia B. Blackwell (Jonathan); grandchildren,  McKenzie Cichero Hyatt, Ryan Williamson, Lindsey M. Register (Spencer), Bradley Merritt (Lindsay Zink), Jenna B. Hester (Logan); great-grandchildren, Zendaya Williamson, Maverick Register; mother-in-law, Annie Rose Bowen.
